A working example

From the first enquiry
to the last bit of admin.

This is an illustrative workflow using the existing shared tools in Trade PA. Your technical decisions and prices stay yours.

  1. Capture the enquiry

Chased walls, a damaged ceiling and furniture in the room all affect preparation and the time you allow. Save the customer, property and reported work in the job record.

  2. Make the scope clear

Record what you have checked before you commit to the work:

    • Measured walls and ceilings
    • Substrate condition and preparation
    • Room clearance and protection
    • Waste, repairs and decoration exclusions
  3. Prepare the quote and book the visit

Distinguish boarding, patch repairs and skimming in the quote. Price only the measured areas and preparation you have agreed. Review the draft, send it when ready and add the agreed visit to your diary.

  4. Finish the job and follow through

Record any extra preparation approved during the job. Send the invoice with a clear breakdown and follow up the balance.

A few things to know.

Can it calculate plaster quantities automatically?

You provide verified areas, products and quantities. The quoting workflow organises your supplied figures; it does not assess the substrate or perform an automatic takeoff.

Is this a separate app for plasterers?

No. It is the same Trade PA app, with examples showing how the shared tools fit this trade. Use your own scope, prices and job details to make it fit the way you work.

What should I try first?

Create a test customer and a draft for “skim a bedroom after a rewire”. Add your own scope and prices, check the wording, then explore the appointment and invoice tools. You can review the draft without sending it.
