Capture the enquiry
The list includes a door adjustment, shelf fitting and sealant replacement. Access, materials and excluded specialist work need agreeing. Save the customer, property and reported work in the job record.
Make the scope clear
Record what you have checked before you commit to the work:
- Individual tasks and agreed priorities
- Property access and occupant arrangements
- Materials and who supplies them
- Specialist work outside your scope
Prepare the quote and book the visit
Quote the agreed tasks individually or as a clearly defined visit. Record any additional requests before changing the amount. Review the draft, send it when ready and add the agreed visit to your diary.
Finish the job and follow through
Mark completed and outstanding tasks in your notes. Prepare the invoice and book any separately agreed return visit.
