A working example

From the first enquiry
to the last bit of admin.

This is an illustrative workflow using the existing shared tools in Trade PA. Your technical decisions and prices stay yours.

  1. Capture the enquiry

The customer has selected doors, but existing linings, ironmongery and trimming affect what you need to allow for. Save the customer, property and reported work in the job record.

  2. Make the scope clear

Record what you have checked before you commit to the work:

    • Opening measurements checked on site
    • Door supply and ironmongery specification
    • Condition of existing linings
    • Trimming, finishing and disposal scope
  3. Prepare the quote and book the visit

Separate fitting labour from supplied doors and hardware. Note decorating and lining repairs that are outside the agreed price. Review the draft, send it when ready and add the agreed visit to your diary.

  4. Finish the job and follow through

Keep a record of the hardware and finished scope. Quote separately for any extra doors added during the job.

A few things to know.

Will it produce cutting lists from drawings?

Not as part of this workflow. You verify dimensions and quantities and supply the materials list. Eve can organise those details into the job and quote.

Is this a separate app for carpenters?

No. It is the same Trade PA app, with examples showing how the shared tools fit this trade. Use your own scope, prices and job details to make it fit the way you work.

What should I try first?

Create a test customer and a draft for “hang replacement internal doors”. Add your own scope and prices, check the wording, then explore the appointment and invoice tools. You can review the draft without sending it.
