Capture the enquiry
The customer needs to agree the layout and finish before you order materials and start making the units. Save the customer, property and reported work in the job record.
Make the scope clear
Record what you have checked before you commit to the work:
- Verified dimensions and site constraints
- Drawing or specification revision
- Board, timber, hardware and finish choices
- Delivery, fitting and making good
Prepare the quote and book the visit
Quote against the agreed specification. Record a requested finish or layout change before revising the price. Review the draft, send it when ready and add the agreed visit to your diary.
Finish the job and follow through
Note the final specification and any follow-up adjustments. Invoice the agreed work with a clear description of the supplied units.
